Tennessee Tech Track & Field will continue its 2026 outdoor season at the Tennessee Invitational, which begins on April 10 at Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium in Knoxville. The event is set to run through April 11 and features athletes from across the region.

The meet is an important opportunity for the Golden Eagles to build on their early-season momentum. The team had a strong showing at the UAB Spring Invite, with several top-five finishes and new personal records.

At the UAB Spring Invite, freshman Jane Lokiles won the women’s 5000 meters with a personal best of 17:48.14. Makaleigh Jessee finished third in that race, while Zaely Tilt secured fifth place. In the men’s events, Carter Bradford and Zak Myles-Hawkins finished first and second respectively in the men’s 5000 meters, with Cruz Hesling completing a podium sweep by finishing third. Myles-Hawkins also claimed victory in the men’s 1500 meters.

Other notable performances included Rylee Wells finishing sixth in the women’s 1500 meters, Kennedi Winbush recording a fourth-place finish in her debut collegiate race over 100 meters with a time of 11.77 seconds, and Carrie Flowers achieving a personal best of 15.02 seconds in the hurdles.

Field events saw Ally Beneke win first place in high jump (1.67m), while Madison Johnson was second (1.62m). Tyla Street earned third place in triple jump (11.25m), and Asharee Davis set two personal records—one each in long jump (5.74m) and triple jump (11.18m).

Looking ahead, Tennessee Tech will participate on Day Two of the Tennessee Invite before traveling to Cullowhee, North Carolina for the Catamount Classic on April 24-25.
