Tennessee Tech’s baseball team lost to Lindenwood University, 4-3, in a walk-off finish on May 9. The game took place in St. Charles, Missouri, and marked the second consecutive walk-off win for Lindenwood in their Ohio Valley Conference series.

The result matters as it continues a challenging series for Tennessee Tech against conference opponents. The Golden Eagles were looking to even the series but could not overcome Lindenwood’s late-game performance.

Tennessee Tech started strong with an early lead after Landon Smelser scored in the first inning. However, Lindenwood responded by tying the game in the fourth and taking a two-run lead by the fifth inning with timely hits and a solo home run. In the ninth inning, Tennessee Tech mounted a comeback: Luke Bragga doubled and later scored on Smelser’s sacrifice fly, followed by Owen Lee tying the game with another sacrifice fly.

Despite these efforts, Lindenwood began its half of the ninth with a double and advanced runners strategically before Jake Radosevich drew a bases-loaded walk from Eli Huddleston for the winning run. Jimenez and Connor Crowson each collected two hits for Tennessee Tech during the contest.

The teams are scheduled to play again Sunday afternoon at Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles.
