The Tennessee Tech Alumni Association will host a Tennessee Titans tailgate event in Titan Town on Dec. 29, prior to the 7:15 p.m. kickoff when the Titans take on the Dallas Cowboys at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. Tennessee Tech is the education partner for the Tennessee Titans.

“We had a great turnout last year for this tailgate opportunity,” said Kelly Chambers, assistant director of Tech’s Crawford Alumni Center. “We have so many alumni in the Nashville area, and alumni even travel in from out of state for this event! We are looking forward to good food and family fun as we cheer on the Titans.”

Chambers noted that the 100 tickets available for this alumni tailgate sold out quickly. The cost was $50 per person and included access to Titan Town, a buffet dinner from Martin’s BBQ, two drink tickets and attendance to the game.

For the past two years, Tech has joined the Titans as the team's education partner, recently presenting the 11th annual Titan’s Learning Lab series of events at Nissan Stadium. The Learning Lab events offered high school students an opportunity to go behind the scenes and learn about the inner workings of an NFL team.

“We want our alumni to know we are always planning events and special travel opportunities,” said Chambers. “In fact, we are putting together a trip to South Dakota in summer 2023, and African safaris to Tanzania in September 2023 and February 2024.

“And alumni should mark April 14-16, 2023, on their calendars for Wings Up Weekend,” continued Chambers. “This celebration of all things purple and gold will have events for everyone, including a reunion for the student government association and associated student body alumni.”

For all event information, and to stay connected with fellow Golden Eagles, Tech alumni are encouraged to visit tntech.edu/alumni.

Tennessee Tech is ranked as the number one public university in the state, according to Money Magazine, as well as a “Best National University” by U.S. News & World Report. The university offers more than 200-plus programs of study, and Tech grads leave with the least debt of all public universities in the state. In fact, based on total cost and alumni earnings, Tech provides students with the highest return on investment for any public university in Tennessee, according to PayScale.
