Youth Leadership had their Communications Day class on November 18th!
The class started their day helping with the Chamber and Main Street McMinnville’s Small Business Saturday kickoff breakfast!
They then traveled over to PEG Broadcasting, where they received a tour of the radio station from Kelly Slaughter. Afterward, the group met up with Seth Wright to tour the Southern Standard Newspaper office and see how our local newspapers are made.
The group had lunch from TOPZ Frozen Yogurt & Metro Deli while they had a conversation with Ashley Gillentine Wright about the power of press releases and public relations.
To end the day, the group had a lot of fun at Ben Lomand Connect learning about production and what goes on behind the scenes of our local TV station. Karen Wilson and Tammy Vinson were amazing at assisting the group and teaching them about all that goes on at their office!
