76 percent of applicants to Tennessee Technological University were admitted for fall 2018

At Tennessee Technological University, 89 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 55 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Cookeville enrolled 10,186 students in fall 2018, including 9,006 in undergraduate and 1,180 in graduate programs, data shows. 7.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

95 percent of undergraduates are residents of Tennessee, and 4 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (84 percent) and Black or African American (4 percent).

The school admitted 76 percent of the 6,913 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 36 percent enrolled.
