Tennessee Tech finished sixth in the Bluegrass Collegiate Invitational, held at the University Club of Kentucky, according to an April 14 report. The team posted a total score of 900 (+48) over three rounds in a field of 16 teams.
The event featured strong competition, with host Kentucky winning the team title with a score of 858 (-3). Tennessee Tech’s performance placed them just one stroke behind Evansville in the final standings.
Haden Maxwell led Tennessee Tech with a third-place individual finish at 214 (+1), highlighted by a second-round score of 69 (-2). Nick Etherton tied for 23rd overall with a total of 223 (+10), while Bryson White tied for 45th at 229 (+16). Cooper Gettler and Matthew Shull rounded out the lineup, tying for 67th and placing 86th respectively.
The Golden Eagles showed consistency across all three rounds, recording scores of 299, 300, and 301. Other teams finishing ahead included Marquette (second place) and Northern Kentucky (third place).
Looking ahead, Tennessee Tech is set to compete in the Ohio Valley Conference Championship beginning April 26 at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex Ackerman-Allen Course.
