Congressman John Rose, who represents Tennessee’s 6th congressional district, posted a series of tweets on August 18 and 19, 2025, highlighting his participation in the annual Tennessee FFA Foundation Ham Breakfast and expressing support for recent federal policies.

On August 18, Rose wrote about welcoming Secretary Rollins of the U.S. Department of Agriculture to his district: “Another successful @TNFFAFoundation Ham Breakfast is in the books! It was a real pleasure to welcome @USDA @SecRollins to the 6th district this morning. Like me, Sec. Rollins credits much of her success to her time as a member of the FFA. I want to thank her for making time” (August 18, 2025).

The following day, Rose commented on public opinion regarding national crime policy: “Americans overwhelmingly support President Trump’s crackdown on crime, yet Congressional Democrats continue to fight for more of the same. While they stand up for criminals, this White House is standing up for you.” (August 19, 2025).

Later that day, he returned to agricultural topics with another post: “Agriculture is Tennessee’s No. 1 industry. The annual @TNFFAFoundation’s Ham Breakfast is proof that the future of that industry is bright. I want to thank the hundreds of student leaders, ag supporters, and elected officials for making this another successful event.” (August 19, 2025).

The Tennessee FFA Foundation’s Ham Breakfast is an annual event attended by students involved in agricultural education programs as well as state officials and community members. The Future Farmers of America (FFA) organization provides leadership training and career development opportunities for young people interested in agriculture.

Rose’s reference to Secretary Rollins highlights ongoing cooperation between federal agencies and local communities in supporting agricultural education initiatives.
