On Tuesday, March 17, Will Amonett, a former Pickett Co. High School basketball standout, saw his current team, the Alabama Huntsville Chargers, suffer a 79-63 defeat to the Nova Southeastern Sharks in the NCAA Division II Tournament.
The matchup was held at Rick Case Arena with tipoff at 6 p.m.

Tennessee Tech’s Jorsixt Jimenez has been named one of forty-eight semifinalists for the prestigious Dick Howser Trophy after an impressive season leading his team statistically. The winner will be announced on June 12 ahead of the NCAA College World Series.
